There is UNITY in OPPORT-UNITY.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity...for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore" (Psalms 133:1-3)

"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith" (Galatians 6:10)

There is UNITY in OPPORT-UNITY. Just look at the spelling of the word, and it is evident! However, it is not just grammatically speaking, but realistically speaking, more than likely the golden opport-unity that you have been waiting for is connected to unity. In other words, if you start with "unity," God will add to your unity, and you will end up with "opport-unity!"

Whether it is greater unity with God or greater unity with one another in the Body of Christ, it will work to open the door of golden opportunity that the Lord has ordained for your life. It may be in the area of ministry, secular vocation, God-ordained relationships, etc. And the unseen key word that helps to join unity and opport...unity together is "prayer." When we pray to God and build our communication and relationship with Him, and also pray for each other, an entwining synergy begins to occur. This forms a spiritual key, when combined with faith, opens the door to golden opportunities. (Acts 4:31) Indeed, "Prayer is the key, and faith unlocks the door." Even in your import unity in prayer, there is "unity." Such unity also can reach into any comm...unity!

The word "opportunity" derives from the Latin word aperire, which means "to open," and later translated as portu(m), meaning "port." It originates from the Greek words poros (a passage) and pore (an opening). The Hebrew rendition is p[a]hoor, which means "wide open." The more pastors pray for pastors, as ministers pray for ministers, as churches pray for churches...and all pray for one another, the door of golden opportunity will fling WIDE OPEN! As saints pray for leaders, pastors, ministers, saints, souls...as we all pray for each other, the door of opportunity will open! Ephesians 4:13 says "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:"

History records that fishermen use a round-based stabilized boat known as a currach along the western coast of Ireland. This vessel has a tarry canvas over a wooden frame. Due to its distinctive construction, it is susceptible to destructive sharp rocks and floating objects, and it requires the oarsmen to fully cooperate, rowing in complete unison. Out of this necessity for unity comes the Irish expression "You will have to pull with the crew." Another Irish proverb states "There is not strength without unity."

What is true for the fishermen is applicable to us as Christians. Unity is essential to the success of the cause of Christ! It was Ben Franklin who said "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." I have heard the expression "The family that prays together, stays together." Likewise "A Church (Ministry) that prays together, stays together." (I Corinthians 1:10)

As part of the Church, determine that in prayer, "united we stand in everything," so that in the world, "we will not fall for anything!" And in doing so, with that great UNITY, you will find a glorious wide-open door to the golden OPPORT-UNITY!
